Hanlon Real Trade is committed to providing high-quality workmanship and clear, fair service for every client. This Refund Policy outlines how refunds, cancellations, deposits, and service payments are handled.
This policy operates in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. Quotes & Pricing
All quotes provided by HRT are based on the scope of work discussed at the time of quoting.
Final pricing may vary if:

Site conditions differ from what was originally expected

The client requests changes or additions

Materials or labour requirements increase
Any variation will always be communicated and approved before work continues.
2. Deposits & Booking Payments
For certain services, HRT may require a deposit to secure a booking and cover upfront material or scheduling costs.
Deposits are generally non-refundable once:

Materials have been ordered

Labour has been scheduled

Work has commenced
Deposits will always be discussed clearly prior to confirmation.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Clients may cancel or reschedule appointments by providing at least 48 hours notice.
If cancelled with 48+ hours notice:

No cancellation fee applies

Deposits may be transferable to a future booking
If cancelled within 48 hours:

A cancellation fee may apply to cover scheduling and administrative costs

Deposits may not be refundable
4. Refunds for Services
Due to the nature of trade services, refunds are not typically provided once work has been completed.
However, if there is an issue with workmanship, HRT will:

Inspect the concern

Offer a reasonable repair or rectification where required

Ensure the service meets agreed standards
5. Materials & Product Refunds
If HRT supplies materials (flooring, timber, etc.), refunds are subject to supplier terms.
Refunds may not be available for:

Custom orders

Cut-to-size materials

Opened or installed products
If a product is faulty, the client is entitled to remedies under Australian Consumer Law.
6. Australian Consumer Law Guarantees
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Clients are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if services are:

Not delivered with due care and skill

Not fit for purpose

Not provided within a reasonable timeframe
7. Change of Mind
HRT does not offer refunds for “change of mind” once:

Work has commenced
-
Materials have been purchased
-
Bookings have been secured
